TOP 100 university 2006.. AND ALSO...oil prices, bus fares, fuel tax and utilities bill..

WOW.. apparently the latest Times Higher Education Supplement top 100 ranking for universities is out... :O .. and NUS is an amazing 19th position... which come to think of it, it quite unrealistic imho..

yes i noe its good that i'm going to study in nus and its 19th position.. but still..
well u get my point.. read 7/10/06 straits time main paper.. the only reason, is because we have lots of foreign staff (accounting for why students can hardly understand wat the lecturers are talking about - haha.. i think i read about this in a forum somewhere..)

oh well..

ok bus fares have risen since oct 1st.. 0.64--> 0.64, 0.85-->0.87, 1.05---> 1.08 or something like that.. so i'm glad i passed my tp on 30th sept.. heh.. that way i didnt waste more $$ on transport to and fro..



oil prices have fallen tremendously in the past 2 months or so.. now its like US$60 a barrel.. from almost US$80..

so why is PUB (or SP now?) still going to raise the price of elec in oct? that high oil prices justification no longer makes sense..

and the same goes for bus & mrt fares.. hello? why the raise?

ya and to fuel tax for airplanes.. esp SIA which charges exorbitant fuel taxes.. erm why has the tax not been reduced or even removed?


something is wrong!! psst.. there's a conspiracy!! where is the excess $$$ the public is paying going to?
