Li-ion Battery Care..

Ok i'm obsessed with my soon-to-come notebook..
and i'm also so damn free...

so since so many of u have laptops & handphones and they're probably running on li-ion batts.. i'll post what i found out from bo liao surfing..


1) Best way to store ur batt is at 0 degree celcius and at 40% charge level. At this level, ur batt will only retain 98% of its capability after 1 year. But of cuz its so stupid to store ur batt in the fridge. lol.. At 40% charge level and 25 degrees, it'll be 96%. At 25 degrees and full charge, ur batt will lose 80% of its capability per year. So keep ur batt in a cool place, and dun full charge. Avoid using in hot enviroment.


2) Dont fully drain ur batt before u charge. This is bad and reduces the lifespan. Best would be to charge daily. However let it drain fully once every 30 charges to allow the battery to be calibrated. Li-ion batts are not affected by the number of cycles thing.


3) Try not to have ur batt in ur laptop when u're using AC cuz the laptop will heat up after the batt is fully charged thus affecting the lifespan again.
