sibei funny.. some ways to save money.. i came across on a forum...

here's how it starts...
"I am one who actively watches over my spending to make sure that I don't over spend. Why? Because I want to stop working in 10 years time! So I thought, while trying to get higher income or more streams of income, I should also save more and invest more today to move closer to my goal (but bear in mind being a saver does not mean becoming a miser)! So...other than sharing investment ideas, methods and tips, I thought it may be interesting to share some useful tips/information/lobangs here!"

there're some good ones like using certain credit cards tt gives rebates, shopping online, looking out for sales, etc..

"For example, bring your mobile phone charger to work so that you can charge using your company's electricity. If you need stationery like pens, stabler or printing paper, don't buy. Just take from your company. Oh, and don't forget to use your company's phone instead of your own mobile phone."

"i don't buy drinks when i go out for lunches. Come back then drink the drinks avail in the pantry. haha... "

"Marry a thrifty woman." LOL..

When pregnant, go gahmen Polyclinic to get a doctor referral letter so when go KK Hospital you can get subsidized rates. Always ask to go for Clinic 'C' to get the most subsidized rate. For the hospital bed rates, you can opt for B ward just pay abit more than C ward. When got baby, once take back from KK, faster condition the baby to cheap baby powder. Unless baby is allergic to that baby powder no choice need to buy expensive brands. Dumex Dulac is the cheapest I can find so far. For diapers, try to get Jumbo size 84 like Drypers for economies of scale. The washing machine water store them up so can use to flush the toilet bowl or wash toilet floor. Toilet paper get cheaper wan (abit rough I know) but it will be cheaper in the long run. Currently I am thinking can take the office toilet toilet roll a bit everyday home?

WHAHAHA..can die laughing..

No need buy coffee or tea, go to office pantry (if there is) and get for free. Now about the tea-bags and sugar at pantry can take a bit everyday home? Hmmm......

but i think this is seriously very impt....

I think one should practice delay gratification. If you have the urge to buy something, try to stop and think whether its necessary. Or better still, walk away and tell yourself to think about it for the next few days. Most likely the urge will just wear off and you won't feel the urge to buy that thing again.

ahem.... see now i dun need to buy my ipod le.. yay.. i saved money..

"many spendings are caused by impulsive decisions and urge. my wife always 'pull' me back for gadgets...i always 'pull' her back for shoes and bags "

funny.. save money!!!

oh anw i read the papers ytd.. seems like a lot of undergrads are investing.. esp the males.. hmmm.. goodie.. haha..
