about elitism..

fyi, there's this huge debate going around about this middle age guy (derek wee, 35), and an 18 yrs old RJC gal (wee shu min, who happens to be Wee Siew Kim's [AMK MP - a man-in-white] daughter)..

story begins with dear derek writing an article titled "Future of Singapore", whining (and complaining incessantly) about foreign talents, how insecure he is (and so he says applies to MANY other middle aged workers too) in terms of job security.. goes on to justify the rational for "quitters", then grumbles on about singapore being too survival of the fittest (hey this's new.. i DIDNT know about this before.. thanks for bringing this to my attention).. he ends of course, by saying that the future of singapore remains a question mark..

excuse me, hasnt it been status quo since august 9 1965? wats suprising?


and then miss wee responds (i'd to admit rather sarcastically..) let's quote some..

"derek, derek, derek darling, how can you expect to have an iron ricebowl or a solid future if you cannot spell?",

"how the pool of foreign "talent" (dismissively chucked between inverted commas) is really a tsunami that will consume us all (no actually he didn't say that, he probably said Fouren Talern Bery Bad.)"

but somehow the other parts of the article contains truth.. it makes sense.. its really about winning or losing.. (sometimes i win, sometimes the others lose =P)

and i'm sure we cant deny rjc/hc is a class above.. if u insists it isnt, explain the phenomenon that 50% of nus medicine undergrads are from rjc.. its no coincidence..


but many people are blinded.. those people who criticized the article senselessly.. they're blinded because she's from rjc and her dad is a MP.. they're angry because

Talk about proper screen before bring selected to stand in an election. With such a daughter, l just wonder what type of screen is done for all the MPs...This girl deserved to be a comfort woman and her dad strip of the post of an MP.....
