Early matriculation stinks!

screwed up! guys who serve ns are allowed to matriculate earlier.. i.e 2 6 weeks Special Terms.. one in early may and another in mid june.. we are allowed to choose to attend one, both, or none (meaning we matriculate with the 1989 females in august)...


1) Apparently the special term fees dont come cheap.. per module ok?? $593 each module.. kns..

2) I heard, (too lazy to fully verify but the website sort of confirm it), that we'll only be allowed to take Uni requirement modules.. meaning.. Singapore studies or GE that sort of stuff.. crap!

"What modules will be offered during the Special Terms?
NUS will announce the modules on offer during the Special Terms well in advance each year and will be in touch with returning NSmen to provide this information. A range of electives will be offered, many of which will allow students to fulfil their General Education and Singapore Studies requirements."

3*) The results of the modules cannot be used for the calculation of results for dean list.. which i heard is BAD because its easier to score in these modules.. (*note that this point does not imply anything, i'm just stating a disadvantage so dun think too much)

4) There'll be orientation though, jus that the participants will all be NS-men (i.e. all guys).. Great! encouraging... (this will put a lot of people off.. haha)

5) 6 weeks for a module that's supposed to be taught over 5-6 months.. and i thought the purpose of the Special term was to get us back into the mugging groove.. imagine wat will happen to the idiots who take 4 modules in 6 weeks.. lol.. they'll die..
