look at the amount of friends vacationing this december.. everyone is just loaded..

isnt that the funny thing about us singaporeans? we scrimp and save, eat foodcourt, take public transport, etc, just for the goal of a holiday at the end of the year..

you know what's funnier? on holiday, we eat at foodcourts too, or just settle for cup noodles...

uniquely singaporeans...


famous amos pays $4.20 per hour.. i was waiting at the cashier earlier and casually asked the part-timer about it.. and of course, she said free cookies comes along as an incentive..

4.20 is... gulp... rather low isnt it? i'm not even going to bother to mention the slave labour at macs...


i teach tuition at $30 per hour. thats a whopping 500% increase.. (and i'm not even into 2 significant figures).. i guess parents could use this example to emphasize the importance of "studying hard".. $30/hr might seem decent, but trust me, i've seen better days..

how do i put this.. well let's just say, i'm not the average 22 yr old undergrad..

and yet, an educational is but one route life throws us.. nothing is to stop anyone from choosing another pathway to success..
