Fluids is haunting me..

cant believe we actually decided to go swimming the day before fluids.. haha.. but its was too good a weather to waste.. the past week was horrid.. impossible to swim in the evenings..


was intending to wind down after a relatively unproductive day revising fluids.. no such luck there..

went down, saw some workers assembling PIPES!! and there were those 90 deg bends! oh lord no!... all the K value energy/head loss and stuff came flooding back..

that wasnt all.. i kept wondering about the correlation between temperature and viscosity because i noticed that usually when the water is cooler, the resistance exp tends to increase.. and then there was this nagging thought about the boundary layer thickness surrounding my body, and how i could use a cylinder to approximate the shape.. rofl..

and about reynolds' number, whether the flow was laminar/turbulent/transition.. Laughs..

bleah.. fluid mechanics is everywhere!


actually, i like to learn about how engineering affects our lives.. how we apply all the knowledge to serve us better.. frankly, its only the exams i hate! =x



I saw the pirates trailer on tv and came across a really beautiful beach.. we work so hard, is it not just for paradise like these?
