morning i excused strength training.. woke up @ 5.20 (standard daily)..

after strength training.. we had stand by sleeping.. chao lame thing which everyone is forced to sleep.. WTH? heard rumours tt its due to e instructors du lan tt e OC (biggest shot in our company) unhappy tt we all always dun have 7 hours of sleep... lol...

after a while ~30 mins.. all went to lecture room to cooperate with an investigation.. apparently 1 parent called up HQ & complained about e use of vulgarities by e instructors on her son.. den very tactfully didnt disclose who the instructor is and her son's name.. lol.. didnt really please e OC of Ninja coy conductin e investigation..

sidetracking, i tell u, the instructors vulgarities very power 1..

Challenge: Can u use the F word as a noun, verb and adjective in a sentence consisting of 5 words? think about it.. my sec com can..

ok so the OC was very irritated tt e parent complained about something so retarded.. and asked us to close our eyes and e person raise his hand.. apparently, no hand. so tt got very pissed, and STARTED SCOLDING VULGARITIES... LOL.. den each platoon had to submit 3 names of their instructors who used vul @ e greatest frequency...

after a while, i booked out and as such am blogging now....

nothing really interesting today, apart from my 1st aid test which is chao kelong.. got 3 lessons, i went 1.. and passed reasonably.. LOL.. lame...

den had lesson on geneva convention (some POW treatment thing) and @ nite got M-16 lecture.. something interesting here.. during e lecture, e lecturer (my platoon sgt), said tt e bullet is fired in e barrel @ 990m/s.. den someone asked whether he knew e recoil speed of e rifle..
seemed familiar..
and then i thought.. and then i remembered...
m1v1 + m2v2 = 0 ... lol.. i still know my physics..

sent arms den went to wash up & sleep...

morning new i/c.. bunkmate.. and he didnt know e 4-D number of those who were on status.. so e sec com (yes the one whose grasp of vulgarities is damn power) said, nvm.. stand by bed (SBB) @ 6.45.. $#!%#$%#!$...

ok stand by bed means u pack ur locker and cupboard until it is identical to those of ur bunkmates.. and which no matter how identical it is, u'll still be punished..

so back to SBB.. e sec com stood outside, and without entering to check, said: 100 counts of 4 jumping jets carry on.. WTH.. nv even tell us where go wrong.. as u know, i'm on status (excuse etc) so didnt do.. but helped them count...

Sbb over, went down fall in.. and guess wat.. SBB AGAIN in 10 mins.. !#@%#$%#$%.. ok this time some blur cock passed his hp and wallet 2 e buddy and e buddy left it in e bunk.. and e items went missing.. so SBB to look for thief.. must pour every item onto the bed.. kao sia.. like so messy and all our hard work.. zzz.. den e instructors came into e room and searched half-heartedly and unsuprisingly, didnt find e loot... sec com came into e bunk smoking.. thanks..

amazing, the thief had a conscience and RETURNED E LOOT.. mysteriously.. or so i heard..

since i excuse uniform, didnt go to range 2 see live firing (well ncc also fired b4 so didnt miss much) but we DREW ARMS for e 1st time.. haven touched a M-16 in 3 years.. quite happy initially to touch it.. but wun be for long i'm sure.. very troublesome.. not to mention heavy.. ok e DI (drill instructor) of e day was in pms mood.. so e platoon kana screwed.. push ups, crunches, jumping jets... did like hell much.. sway.. heng i status.. i also din went for weapon presentation ceremony since i couldnt wear uniform and so rotted in e bunk.... from 5 plus to 7.. den got talk cock session with pc till 10.08.. and lights out 10.30.. wth.. in e end we were allowed to sleep @ 11... but lights still out @ 10.30.. zzz

oh ya btw western food lunch.. not bad..

after 5 days MC + 3 days christmas break, i booked in around noon, saw another medical officer who was very xia lan also (i saw also, if u read on u'll know why).
but still given status.. quite good... nothing much..

Day 11 18/12
my book out day.. whee... agility group run.. run 15 mins non stop.. kao.. booked out @ 2200.. so late sia..
drills lesson, chosen for drill squad (a group of pple who do fanciful things with their rifle, like spin it around etc..) but realised its very taxing so didnt join.. nothing much too.. normal day..

Day 10 17/12
my 1st 2.4 test... 13'47.. my best ever timing.. chiong like mad.. but quite satisfied.. however, the passing is 12'19.. lol bo pian also.. passed shuttle run.. 10.6.. i think is 3 points.. nt bad la..

den swimming test.. haven swam in 3 years.. breaststroke 50 m... swim like 35m hands ache liao.. haha.. but still passed.. endured e last few m..

den got 3 km route march.. and last 900m it rained heavily.. drenched.. and guess what.. after we completed 3km, e siren sounded.. Cat 1 (means no outdoor activity).. wth.. very timely..

1930 - 2230.. rot... went annex (like recreational room) and play table soccer.. e one u turn sticks tt e players are attached to...

Day 9 16/12
today i got my 11B.. which is actually a cashcard look-alike card tt the SAF gives to u in exchange for your Pink I/C.. which formally means: congrats, u're now a SLAVE of saf.. and i dun like e photo.. damn! i miss my pink ic.. u lucky civilians out there... grrrr...

got IPPT test.. failed SBJ (jumped 208.. kao.. 216 to pass) and pull-up (did 1 nia).. and den CAT 1 so e 2.4 and shuttle postponed.. no such thing as sit and reach in NS..

also got SAF 7 core values book presentation.. a very grand event which e officer handed me a book which i didnt even flip open once.. lol..

a discussion about girls 犯jian4.. ever tot about who they are? tell u, they're those who sign on NS... seriously wat i feel sia.. kao! imagine volunteering to do 100 push ups daily, wake up @ 5.20, eat foodhouse food (which happends to suck 9 meals out of 10) - only e western is gd... unbelievable...

Day 8 15/12
supposed to fall in by 5.45.. some idiots 5.45 strolling down.. e result : push ups (knock-it-down/ half-left-down)... push ups in NS is sadistic.. b4 going down, someone shouts 1,2, den everyone claps their hand twice, and u punch e air shouting pegasus before going down.. can u imagine clapping to be punished???

injections cum polio drop.. kao.. tetanus and something immunisation.. 4 got liao.. simultaneous injection @ both arms.. amazing experience.. bled, and 1 hand got bruised.. zzz..

1st 3km route march.. reduced to 2.7km.. after which we kana screwed for being lethargic.. form 30 rows, slow.. form 15 rows, form 10 rows, form 20 rows, form 50 rows, form 100 rows!!!! KAO.. hate this totally..

@ nite got ntuc income insurance talk which no 1 signed up.. lol..

as e year draws really close to an end, i shall sumarise this wonderful year of mine.. (minus e dec 8th part) :(

e A level year.. supposedly e toughest year n e one tt shd sucked e most.. but yet to me, its one of e funnest... yes e studying was tough, but there we so many enjoyable moments of 2005.. so many 1st times..


it began with e new year countdown... (31st Dec - 1st Jan) e company: sh and rey and his frens.. went 2 watch movie with sh n benji (forgot wat movie le.. zzz) i think it was meet e fockers.. great movie & damn funny but after tt ben went home.. we went to find rey who was playin pool with his frens.. and after pool... haha.. we bought foam sprays and ganged up to spray others.. so much fun.. *cough* rey.. *cough*.. then i took nightrider 4 e 1st time.. went to a wrong bus stop & walked 1 bus stop home @ around 3am???


next was shanghai... spent my Chinese New Year there.. (10th-14th Feb).. family holiday.. saw snow 4 e 1st time in my life.. experienced my 1st winter.. set off firecrackers 4 e 1st time// Hangzhou, Suzhou & Shanghai.. great shopping, great sights, great holiday, great company..


and then it got better.. my 1st cruise.. (11th-13th Mar) jus a cruise to no where.. went with rey n der.. had lots of fun.. ate till rey dropped, played till they bankrupt (monopoly n daidee/blackjack).. my 1st time into a casino.. e feelin of not havin to worry about sch & studies was jus wonderful.. Thx to rey's parents 4 makin it possible..


& it didnt jus stop there... my PSP purchase.. (1st Apr) paid 4 by my parents.. $446.50.. i never once regretted this purchase.. it accompanied my thru my lonely hours on e bus/other places and occupied me when i was bored studyin.. and it also created more fun for e 3 of us.. believe it or not rey bought his on mon, der on wed and i on fri.. e fun we had on our psps.. and i'm still havin fun with mine right up to today.. credit to bittorrent :P sounds ironic but Thank You Reynold..


and then my luck got better.. Hong Kong '05.. (1st-4th July) immediately after mid-year exam.. luck was on our side.. rey's mum had to go hk for business & so rey and der tagged along.. and guess wat.. we took the same flight.. they extended their trip and we returned together too.. though shoppin in HK was jus soso.. Shen Zhen was great.. cheap CDs/DVDs too as was in Shanghai.. my 1st holiday with frens (nt with sch).. a very enjoyable n memorable 1.. my only regret is tt we hardly took photos.. oh well i'll remember e memories.. our night walk in HK, midnight supper, PSP accessories shopping, airport custom hiccup *cough*... etc etc etc..


like e above was not yet enuf, bring on cruise no. 2... this time sh went with us too.. (29th Jul - 1st Aug).. as much fun.. this time we even brought our own mahjong set to play.. we ate even more, entered casino again (i was e only 1 under 18).. so smuggled in again.. haha.. unforgettable experience with buns as hard as rocks.. guess wat.. we threw them into e ocean.. if my memory serves me correctly, there were 30 of them.. 7 each and rey n i threw 1 extra.. but not b4 we designed an "I love u" wif e buns.. pure fun.. great time! thx again to rey's parents..


soon, in about 6 weeks after e cruise, it was our prelims.. nothing fun/enjoyable about it though..

after e prelims, more joy.. Bangkok.. (21st-26th Sep) went with family n uncle + rey n sh.. (der was in kl).. though e shoppin wasnt really that great, jus havin frens with u on a holiday is enuf to make it enjoyable.. we talked sala deng, kana asok, went to na na etc etc etc.. e 3 of us even went around by ourselves.. ate quite a lot too.. sizzler (i also happened to eat this 4 e 1st time in sg too this year.. almost got addicted..), swensens (also ate in sg many times w them during e $3 promotion) aunt annie, A&W and many more.. a memorable trip undoubtedly.. FUN!


after e came back from thailand i rmb going to johor 1 weekend and there i drove 4 e 1st time.. ignore e legal issues, or rather illegal.. though drove for only about 20 mins and only in a very large carpark, it was time very shuang.. after tt trip, i probably drove for another 3-4 times in other trips to JB.. learned to park and even drove on main road.. never to b 4gotten..


and then reality hit hard.. A levels is here.. 2 years of building my army, jus for these 10 days.. (8th-18th Nov) thankfully, they past quickly.. (18th Nov) watched Harry Potter & TGOF with rey @ nite @ marina.. 1st time watchin movie with tickets bought online.. nice show.. reached home b4 12 cose rey's mum sent me home.. haha..


and den there was e class outing.. a consolation since there wasnt gonna be a repeat of last year's highly successful chalet.. (21st Nov) -- if i rmb correctly.. there was still fun there ba i guess.. though i didnt see daqiu initially..


and of course after every exam there must be a reward.. Beijing (25th Nov - 5th Dec) only my parents n i went.. and despite tt i had another great holiday.. lucky enuf to see snow again.. but e 1st time i see n walk and sit on a frozen lake.. -12 degrees.. omg.. BJ, Tian Jin, BJ, Cheng De, BJ.. excellent shoppin again.. nice food (BJ duck).. nice/cheap tidbits.. e food there more suitable 4 sgreans tt in sh.. stayed in 5 * hotel 4 2 days.. climbed e great wall, entered e palace and so many other places.. it even snowed in BJ.. very cold though this trip.. but very satisfied.. enjoyed myself greatly..


but.. all banquets must come to an end.. u cant have e best forever.. BJ will probably be my last holiday in a long time.. because as many of u all know.........

in concluding, i would like to thank everyone who contributed in makin 2005 such a pleasant year 4 me.. Esp to all my frens and also for my parents' support(without which none of e above could have materialised).. i shall also include tpjc where i never regretted choosing as my 1st choice.. thx 4 e vouchers on college day..
