Subject: Problems with my new computer


Dear Mr. Bill Gates,

We have bought a computer for our home and we have found some problems,
which I want to bring to your notice.

1. There is a button 'start' but there is no 'stop' button. We request you
to check this.

2. We find there is 'Run' in the menu. One of my friends clicked 'run' he
ran up to Amritsar ! So, we request you to change that to 'sit', so that
we can click that by sitting.

3. One doubt is whether any 're-scooter' is available in system? I find
only 're-cycle', but I own a scooter at my home.

4. There is 'Find' button but it is not working properly. My wife lost the
door key and we tried a lot trace the key with this ' find' button, but
were unable to trace. Please rectify this problem.

5. My child learnt 'Microsoft word' now he wants to learn 'Microsoft
sentence', so when you will provide that?

6. I bought computer, CPU, mouse and keyboard, but there is only one icon
which shows 'My Computer': when you will provide the remaining items?

7. It is surprising that windows says 'My Pictures' but there is not even
a single photo of mine. So when will you keep my photo in that.

8. There is 'MICROSOFT OFFICE' what about 'MICROSOFT HOME' since I use the
PC at home only.

9. You provided 'My Recent Documents'. When you will provide 'My Past
Documents'?

10. You provide 'My Network Places'. For God sake please do not provide
'My Secret Places'. I do not want to let my wife know where I go after my
office hours.

i actually bothered to tune in to the live telecast.. not that american politics excites me.. i just wanted to ensure that if he got assassinated, i was watching it live..

you know.. by white supremacist, terrorists or whoever.. or maybe he would be overcomed by joy and get a myocardial infarction..

haha.. its not everyday you get the chance to watch a minority president of the states get murdered..

turns out in the end i got too tired (the procession was REALLY boring) and went to sleep.

first thing i did when i woke up to check cnn..

frankly, mixed feelings..

well, for one he didnt get assassinated..

on the other hand i din miss anything..



yea, trust me, i know its sick..


-next we have gaza and israel..

to be truthful, i really know nuts about the long standing feud between jews and muslims.. but i sure as hell can resonate with israel.. singapore and israel are in a similar predicament.. we're surrounded by muslim countries..

and if my memory serves me right, israel provided the know-how for our first few batches of NS training..

israel's military reminds me of ours.. superior to the neighbours, ready to strike..

who knows one day terrorist govts will govern our neighbours (if they havent already) and we can flex our muscles..


then again i pondered, when the time come, would we be prepared? as in, prepared to kill..

most if not all of our trainings never encompassed any "live" firing.. yes, we used live bullets, but we fired on composite materials, never human flesh (ok maybe the one or two blur kings)..

so yea, i wonder if should the time come, would most of us, (minus the blur kings) hesitate..


back to israel.. in my opinion, palestine deserves it.. no question whatsoever.. (i'm not condoning the loss of innocents lives, and i feel sorry about it)..

but the people should have known better.. who in your right mind democratically elects a terrorist organisation to govern your country?

I can only think of 1 type of such.. people who are looking to get bombed.

At this point in time, I'm camping at my favourite hangout spot trying to accomplish the tasks on my to-do list but I just cant seem to concentrate and motivate myself =x

This tiong-bu pissed me off yesterday. Imagine someone Chinese new year find trouble with others.


EG1413 project. We need to get into groups of 3. It turns out that the class consisted of 17 people. Well, hard luck, 2 people will have to do the project as a pair.

So this female china student in the class happened to be a member of the pair. Together with another china guy.

I mean, too bad right, its not my fault you cant find your group of 3 people.

No! She went to complain to the tutor, implying that two china people should not do together. Well it was obvious that she was trying to give the tutor the impression that 2 china people will do badly for the project. (well the module is language based)

Pisses me off. If you're worried you cant do well for the module simply because you're weak in english, then you have 2 options.

Drop the module and change faculty since this is a core module.

or Go home la. Simple. Stop trying to get a free ride by joining a group with Singaporeans.

Your actions are disgusting.

Long story short, she tried to break-up my group and pry some singaporeans to herself but the tutor somehow manage to place the china guy in another group and assigned an Indian girl to her group. The tutor also agreed to help them out.

You should have seen how black her face was. LOL. I'm going to avoid being racist but it was REALLY black.

Feeling really unhappy, she approached the tutor again and whined about how she cant cope with the project.

Seriously. Everyone is given the same project and if you cant cope then you deserve to fail.

Go Home Ok?

I was roaming chinatown on new year's eve (actually wee hours of day 1) and witnessed a scuffle.

Initially I assumed it was 2 groups of hooligans roughing themselves up till I noticed a participant using a pair of handcuffs.



On closer inspection, it turned out that the larger gang belonged to the SPF and they were busting a group of illegal dvd peddlers.

Kind of an eye opener because you could hardly tell the CID officers from Hokkien pengs.


I cant help but commend the officers on their efficiency. Not for apprehending the suspects but for their effectiveness in gathering all the dvds and placing in boxes. They were really quick.



I was disappointed because their efficiency also meant that they ensured that no dvds were left behind for scavengers like myself.

Being a staunch believer of "NPNT", you will find that this is indeed a "GPGT" post.

small containers of food cost like 10 buck or more.. commodities prices are supposed to have fallen, yet they continue to fleece consumers.. go take a look if you dun believe me.. i'm going to boycott fairprice.. sickening..

everything's so expensive and yet at the moment, i'm rather financially handicapped.. haha.. no more 4 tutees.. only 1 remain.. =x

many shopping centres tend to station a cleaner in the toilet.. while this is usually a good thing, things are different when they decide that a female cleaner should constantly roam the gents..

so ya, there'll be guys pissing at the urinals and the female cleaner will be walking around obliviously behind them.. its weird..


service there is really lousy nowadays.. maybe i should rephrase this.. service there is really lousy if you're an asian..

you're usually ignored at restaurants and be on the receiving on of bad attitude from staffs.. they cant really be bothered with you..


one funny thing.. once, we were doing foot massage and this Indian man came to patronise too.. jus as his massage was about to start, his wife came and created a big scene.. it was hilarious.. you see those shows about jealous and bossy indian wives? In real life..

haha.. she insisted that a transverstite perform the massage for her husband.. so lame can.. =x other customers in the shops and the staff too were laughing out loud..


we were thinking, the transverstite apparently became one because he decided he liked guys right?

Blur syndrome..

yesterday I was trying to catch 23 and ended up boarding 133. then i had to walk so far to the nearest 23 bus stop.

yesterday was my first 8am lecture in NUS. i woke up at 715. unknowingly snoozed more than 1 hour.

last friday i forgot 450 baht of change in bangkok.

and in pattaya i forgot that the reservation did not include breakfast. went down to embarrass myself.


damn.

it is of paramount importance to ensure that you give ang pows generously..

otherwise, you risk being doused in flammable fluids and set alight..


make sure you do not miss anyone out..

Back from Bangkok and Pattaya

Yesterday was the lamest ever last day of holiday.. haha..

we had nothing else to do after 8 days there and were almost broke.. eventually we reached the airport like 4 hours ahead of the take-off time and rotted there.. lol..

okay we were also trying to beat the crazy peak hour jam there..



imagine this everyday!

pattaya was great.. life there was really relaxing compared to bangkok.. where we kept walking walking walking..

we para-sailed,




jet-skied,




stroll along beach, drink coconut by the sea, watched the sun set etc.. we slowed time down.. =x



we even managed to find a faulty table soccer kind of machine where we could play tons of games for free... haha

back to bangkok.. we shopped and eat a lot.. shark fins, bird's nest, lots of fried rice and SWENSENS' (super cheap)..








sh, rey, still remember this cup? laughs..

Took free hotel shuttle tuk tuk, take lame pictures, watch dvds in hotel, walked a lot to save on transport, ate lots and lots of pamelo (so cheap and they peel it for you), take pictures with elephant on the street etc..


i'm lazy to blog already... haha =x
