passed my tp...

Total expenditure: $1243.25.. including theory tests, tp test, p-plate, pdl and license.. excluding transport fees to and fro to the centre.. made a mistake earlier.. forgot to include the enrolment fees and test fee.. dumb!

13 lessons..
11 x weekend/night ($67.2) and 2 x weekday ($58.8)
if not for ns i could have saved more..

being able to drive legally: priceless.. haha drove to jb immediately after my test..

for everything else, nets it..

Time taken: 2 months 24 days from ftt.. 3 months 7 days from btt...3 months 12 days from 1st lesson.. 4 months 23 days from enrolment. if u consider the dumb fact i when sailing for 42 days, it could have been earlier..

horribly disgusted!

everyone tells me pass liao anyway.. but seriously? 18 points? crap....

in circuit my demerit points 16 ok? wat crap.. heng i zai outside.. but he skipped my u-turn.. route 9.. the maha bohdi sch route..

1 alleged mistake.. 14 demerit.. please la the car already wave for me to pass 1st.. tester say i fail to slow down and also nv give the car enough side clearance.. like wat the hell??? si mi sai!???

ok the fact that i roll down the slope.. inexplicable.. din pull the handbrake enough.. 1st station so maybe tts why..

also fail to overtake when necessary outside.. oh well..

but den again the passing rate is seriously screwed up.. 7 pple take.. only 3 pass... i smell a scam.. free and easy $154.20...

shopping..

its true.. shopping's therapeutic effect... but i think it only applies when u actually buy stuff.. so if u just window shop there's no kick @ all.. haha..

ok and it also only applies when u buy lots of stuff.. which is why i hardly feel it in sg.. the pinch of spending SDG$ restricts me from buying a lot locally.. even during wat GSS.. haha..

most shuang is u go overseas n shop, and then anyway u already change the money, or best yet its given to u by your parents, and wat makes it even better is ur currency is of greater value.. plus a shopping partner who also willing to splurge.. siao liao..

i like bought so much stuff in perth and surabaya.. 3 jeans (2 versace[50% discount] & 1 levi's -SGD$60 only leh!), shorts, t-shirts, polo shirt, leather shoes, wallets, socks, belt + some i also forgot le.. thanks to my shopping partner.. -.-" ... we were like psyco-ing each other to buy and buy.. bth.. i think i spent like $400 shopping..

cos ytd i was @ ps.. saw an exactly same nike collar tee i bought at perth in a nike factory outlet.. bought for SGD$24.. its selling in ps for SDG$55 can? i can buy 2 and still have change.. *shakes head in utter disbelief* so maybe my purchases were worth it.. haha.. i hope so..

Sg idol..

today's the final.. or so i'm told..

the sad truth is, hardly anyone cares.. clearly it has lost its lustre.. that's if it had any to begin with (which i doubt).

yes its true.

I do not know even a single person who follows the program week in week out. None. How pathetic. LOL.

i dont even know the names of the finalists..

my brother fren has 6 tix to indoor stadium.. offered it FOC to his classmates. no one wanted to go.. reality strikes.. and it hurts.. haha....

regret regret regret....

to my friends who're studying in NUS/NTU now: u pple should appreciate how lucky u are.. to be able to study w/o needing to serve 2 years (med students aside cos u still have to serve - call it repayment).. cherish it.. no matter how tough it is, bite the bullet, do your best and get it over and done with.. ask any nsf with places reserved and he'll tell u how envious he is of his frens already there and how much he just wants to matriculate tomorrow..

time flies.. i served my country almost 10 months already..

The saf for nsfs is like a different realm.. another dimension, another world that's mutually exclusive of reality.. there people are worrying about their temp jobs, tests, projects, their 4.5 cap, exams and ta da..

there we are.. worrying about our on-the-job training, whether our projected leave gets approved, if our jockey cap is creased, about extras, weekend confinements, guard duties, duties, sai kang, getting caught for camera phone, mp3 players, psp.. i mean seriously??? give me a break man..

that said, i'm not denying i've had the opportunity to get to know so many people.. bmt, combat medic course, underwater medic course, MSTD, changi medical centre.. came across like wat? 100 4As jc students? dozens of scholars.. doctors too..

A*star, Public service commision (psc), SAF overseas scholarship (SAFOS), SAF Merit Sscholarship (SMS), DSTA, SIA, local study award (LSA) , Medicine, SAF Academic Sscholarship (SAS), etc etc etc.. a year ago i didnt even noe a thing about it..

sigh.. all expense paid overseas Uni education overseas or locally.. + insane monthly allowance.. imagine studying in UK or US.. prestigious degrees.. =( like 300k USD in return for a mere 4-6 years bond..

it just makes me want to shoot myself for not at least trying to take 4 subs and s paper in jc.. what an idiot i was to not heed the advice of so many.. asshole.. ok maybe yes, i might not even get 4 As or even a merit for the s.. but at least i should have tried.. now i cant even apply for the simplest of scholarship.. ok i can apply, jus dun get any reply at all.. seriously? very encouraging..

not that i admire all those who studied overseas.. there's a particular loser i despise.. yea big deal u studied in the states to get a DIPLOMA.. ur parents are rich can pay for u.. wow.. let's advertise that in the papers shall we? would classified be sufficient? u know something? u're just living in a realm within the SAF realm.. how pathetic..

have to do my best at NUS.. dun want to regret again..

if anyone's offended by this post, i apologise.. no offence meant.. none.. just penning my thoughts..

hahaha!

Everyone knows that if you are going to operate a business in today’s world you need a domain name. It is advisable to look at the domain name selected as other see it and not just as you think it looks. Failure to do this may result in situations such as the following (legitimate) companies who deal in everyday humdrum products and services but clearly didn’t give their domain names enough consideration:

1. A site called ‘Who Represents‘ where you can find the name of the agent that represents a celebrity. Their domain name… wait for it… is www.whorepresents.com
2. Experts Exchange, a knowledge base where programmers can exchange advice and views at www.expertsexchange.com
3. Looking for a pen? Look no further than Pen Island at www.penisland.net
4. Need a therapist? Try Therapist Finder at www.therapistfinder.com
5. Then of course, there’s the Italian Power Generator company… www.powergenitalia.com
6. And now, we have the Mole Station Native Nursery, based in New South Wales: www.molestationnursery.com
7. If you’re looking for computer software, there’s always www.ipanywhere.com
8. Welcome to the First Cumming Methodist Church. Their website is www.cummingfirst.com
9. Then, of course, there’s these brainless art designers, and their whacky website: www.speedofart.com
10. Want to holiday in Lake Tahoe? Try their brochure website at www.gotahoe.com

jus some garbagy stuff.... some stuff i picked up...

I saw whales on my trip.. yep real whales.. uninhibited ones jus swimming freely in the ocean.. fantastic sight.. saw the tail emerge out of the water and the water spray out.. missed dolphins though.. pity.. apart from that, awesome..

I saw a protest in kuching.. some people gathered outside standard chartered to protest an unethical bank.. interesting..

I saw a real life arrest in perth.. a pin-down by many officers on this poor drunkard who was busy verbally abusing the officers.. lots of vulgarities.. outstanding..

I saw free bus services in perth.. brings you around town.. something we should implement to save my bus fares.. great..

I saw a casino in perth.. won $200++.. nice..

I saw a screwed up train system in perth.. runs based on trust.. no barriers or anything.. just heavy fines.. with people going around asking for your ticket after u alight.. system changing soon though.. cool..

I saw m'sia national day in kuching.. they had a helicopter flying around shining the spotlight randomly.. and the vvips had super huge entourages of bodyguards.. and the hilton hotel was literally baracaded.. but the chinese there didnt seem very patriotic about their national day though.. esp taxi drivers.. pity..

they greet people by Gd day mate.. how'ya doing? everywhere.. amazing..

I learnt a new term.. bbb.. broke-back brothers.. amusing..

I spent $270 in surabaya, $412 in perth, and $170 in kuching.. ouch..

we're only pronounced something twice in our lives... dead or man and wife..

2) a motorcyclist crashed.. managed to walk to the phone booth and called 999.. (note: there's no problem with the phones at either end, nobody is deaf or mute)
policeman goes : hello.. he says hello.. policeman keeps saying hello.. and so does he.. but he cant hear the policeman.. why?

ans:
cos he nv remove his helmet.. lolz chao lame..

back to medical centre life..

I miss sailing. Weird as it may seem, I'm afraid its true. >.<"

Miss those carefree wake up at 9am den slack-the-rest-of-the-whole-day life. Then again i dread sailing again. Its Complicated.

The thing about sailing, is that I have to load (before i sail obviously) and unload (when I return, equally obvious) medical stores. So many boxes of them, so bloodly heavy. Pushing the stupid trolley halfway round the camp and carrying the boxes over the gangway one by one. Sucks.

Well medical centre for pple whom I'm more familiar with, and I get to go home daily.
But then we're going to have audit, so busy doing Sai Kang even on the first day I return. Sucks Too!

Then I only get to reach home around 7. Wash up, eat, watch a few shows, and look at the time!!! 2323 already. Shame!

Guess you really cannot have the best of both worlds. Sigh. I'd better sleep. Pardon my whiny grumbling.

Digressing, my TP is booked. 30th Sept. Wish me luck. Only have 3 more lessons booked (gone for 10 already) and I might not even be able to attend all. =(

the one above says: buy albums..

no prizes for guessing which church this gek sai photo is from...

i feel its hilarious.. read on..

i quote: "What are they (church C) about? I'm really curious about it when my friend told me of his 'bizarre' experience attending one of their weekend communion or something. Let's do point by point stuff he mentioned starting with an intro.

Here's what he mentioned.
- They pray for Sun Ho's album sales. I'm sorry? [lolz.. ] Who's Sun Ho? I asked, after some research I found out. I really am surprised. It's like Church of Scientology praying for Tom Cruise movie to hit the box office.

-They play disco lights and metal band. Something like Zouk, he said. I was literally LOL'ing at the thought. Must be be one of those new age worship. LOL

-They also pack huge venues and recently moved to Expo due to overwhelming demand. Alright this is amazing, they even planned to build a new stadium [wat host the next national day??] with donations! My eyes popped out at that statement. Oh, don't forget, they also prayed for funding too you know, so God is also taken into factor as well."

jus an article i saw.. need to catch up with times...

Crossing equator.. Latitude 00 00..

for the sake of those really daft.. equator is the imaginary line with latitude 00 00 on the map..

The ceremony of crossing the line is an initiation rite in the Royal Navy, U.S. Navy, and other navies which commemorates a sailor's first crossing of the equator. Originally the tradition was created as a test for seasoned sailors to ensure their new shipmates were capable of handling long rough times at sea. Sailors who have already crossed the equator are nicknamed (Trusty) Shellbacks, often referred to as Sons of Neptune; those who have not are nicknamed (Slimy) Pollywogs.

Pollywogs undergo a number of increasingly disgusting (REALLY REALLY DISGUSTING - see the photos) ordeals, largely for the entertainment of the Shellbacks. Once the ceremony is complete, a Pollywog receives a certificate declaring his new status.

Photos all here

so anyway it was really a sickening experience.. had to drink 2 cups of totally disgusting concoction called Meng Po soup.. then they'll ask some lame qns like wats ur name, when u lose ur virginity, wat is ur girlfriend name and etc type of qns.. if u ans wrongly u drink another cup.. of course the answer is "I FORGOT".. because thats the point of meng po soup.. to make u forget everything b4 u reincarnate.. haha..

if u see the pics, we had to crawl, swim, walk, wriggle etc thru those few days old swill (food thrown away).. after the whole thing we stinked like shit.. went to shower a few times, still can smell man.. anyway.. i'm jus glad its over..
