[Serious] Call for a boycott.

I hereby pledge that I will not watch a single Olympic event until the human rights issue in Tibet is resolved. (ok unless sillypore is in the final of the event) - see, like I said in the previous post, I'm patriotic ok?
An end must be put to the massacre.
I do not believe in the bullshit that the Chinese Govt is trying to sell that politics and sports should be dealt with separately. They are one and the same. If they really are 2 different entities, do you think the death toll in Tibet can remain that low?
If they were really separate, we would be seeing Tiananmen - Part 2 in Tibet already.
Force is not the way to settle every single territorial dispute. And neither is positioning thousands of missles at Taiwan.

1 month has passed since toiletbreak..
let's make a list of what has been achieved:
1) We has managed to capture another JI member in replacement to take up the vacancy vacated by MSK. This will ensure that no jobs will be lost at the dentention centre due to reduced workload and the employment rate will not be affected.
Our 141th media can then proudly proclaim again next year that unemployment is at the lowest level and we are all living happily ever after.
also, can zou he (做戏) ma! As usual, top rated propaganda =D
Oscar nominations for best director and screen play.
2) We have caught many more illegal immigrants. Very good according to minister ah wong.
But doesnt this show how slack the efforts to tackle the problem was before the escape? Well done. (the way they managed to write up the story to neglect the negative part)
Golden horse normination for script writing.
3) We managed to burn many weekends of our poor nsfs. Poor guys. As if being paid $500 a month isnt bad enough for exploitation. We had to position them 5 metres apart from each other along Whitley road in the hot sun just in case MSK pops out of the ground or a pothole at Whitley road. I think it would take someone really stupid to believe that MSK would be stupid enough to remain/loiter/pop up at Whitley road. I wonder who gave the order.
Star awards nomination for best actor.
4) We managed to successfully coordinate a cohesive effort to display MSK's wanted posters at almost every public location. Even buses.
Pssst, the posters are even laminated!
When they finally realised that from day 1 MSK had already esacped out of their clutches and territory, they can organise a first come first serve event where people can queue up to get free coasters. =) Idea man.
Hopefully the public will be as receptive to it as hello kitties.
5) We have very successfully managed to shift the public's attention away from the fact that chicken rice now costs $3.50 from $2 a year ago. This feat was only possible because Sillyporeans bonded together as one to try to spot limping terrorists.
What we had failed to realise was that printing and laminating posters, driving tonners and vehicles here and there, conducting searches using helicopters actually requires money. And no, contrary to what you might think, the rulers are not using their salary to pay for the search efforts.
Remember the 2% increase in gst last year? No prizes for guessing where part of it had been allocated to.
6) We have also managed to create a mockery out of ourselves for allowing a terrorist escape from a toilet. I would understand if his accomplices had sent in tanks and F15s and Apaches to assault Whitley dentention centre to rescue him.
But no, they didnt. They waited while he escaped from the - wait for it - TOILET.
Well done.
7) In the process of this fiasco, we indirectly demonstrated the powress of the TNI and Indonesian police. In a country comprising of 17508 island, 222 million people and total land area of 1,919,440 km², MSK was captured. Not once, but TWICE.
No prizes again for guessing how many times sillypore (704.0 km²) have managed to capture him.
Yup, not even ONCE!
In case you're slightly behind in the background knowledge, MSK was passed to us by indonesia.
I could go on and on. But I think i'll stop. I dont want anyone to accuse me of being unpatriotic.
I am. I really am. :P
today i heard the dumbest question EVER..
i was in the toilet den this guy entered and i saw him push against one of the toilet doors..
it was locked..
so he asked the dumbest question ever to the cleaner uncle standing nearby: "Uncle, y is the toilet locked?"
i almost burst out laughing.. i mean, how dumb can someone get? obviously if its locked it implies someone is inside rite?
no no.. i think the uncle locked it so that you'll shit on ur pants instead of sprouting it from your mouth.. :S

the following are tips provided by our elite leaders to curb inflation and fight rising costs..
Firstly,
When you order Mee Siam, ask for mai hum. Probably can save some money.
Secondly,
When you shop for groceries, buy frozen meat instead of chilled beacause frozen meat is cheaper.
This will reduce the demand for chilled products and therefore the prices of chilled meat due to less demand. Guess which group of families benefits from the lower chilled meat prices?
Thirdly,
Buy house brand. See? NTUC offering 5% off for all NTUC hosuebrand. So you'll save costs.
This will reduce the demand for non-housebrand products and therefore the prices of it will drop due to less demand. Guess which group of families benefits from the lower non-housebrand products prices?
Lastly,
Use public transport. Cheaper.
This will result in cleaner air for the elites and their roads become less congested for their oil guzzling vehicles.
So you see? Everything is well thought out for your own good.
Many more good years ahead. Don't forget to keep voting for them ok?

This is hilarious: Our minister does not know the meaning of the word FULL
Some findings about escape won't be revealed
THE three-member panel investigating the escape of detainee Mas Selamat Kastari is doing its work behind closed doors and that is the best way, Deputy Prime Minister Wong Kan Seng said yesterday.
Their main aim is to get to the bottom of how the Jemaah Islamiah terrorist fled the Internal Security Department's (ISD) Whitley Road Detention Centre on February 27, but some of the information unearthed will have to remain under wraps.
The reason: the inquiry demands a thorough examination of the centre, including its security and how ISD officers conduct their investigations and gather intelligence.
'Exposing these details in public will compromise the confidentiality which is necessary for ISD's security and intelligence operations to remain as effective as they have been,' Mr Wong said.
But he repeated an assurance he had given earlier, that once the committee finished its work, the Government would give 'a full account' of how Mas Selamat escaped and what would be done to prevent another escape.
My question is: How can an account be considered full if some details are not disclosed? Last I checked, neither Webster, Oxford or Cambridge had released a new definition for the word full.
Oh one more thing: If the ISD remains as "effective" as they had been, very soon we will capture Osama and allow him to escape through the toilet bowl.
