basically, there're 2 ways to obtain a Singapore flag..

1st way is to buy it for $2.50 from CCs/RCs during the national day period..

2nd way is to be presented with it from the chief of defence force free of charge..

anw if u still dun get wat i'm talking about den u're quite wols..

in the name of serving the nation, should we pass away, our families get one free flag and $10k ++ of compensation.. (according to a reservist medic who's a teacher tts e amt they disburse out) thats like, 0.3% of the presidents yearly pay??????

wow.. that's really going to help a lot..

i find the compensation amt kinda ridiculous.. shouldnt the compensation include future income lost and opportunity costs?? absurd...

come to think of it, rather true.. all i've been doing everyday is to wait for time pass meaninglessly.. (probably wat most of us in e medical centre too) some people would call it a holiday, some people would say its torturous.. matter of perception..

that said, i'm kinda enjoying life at the moment.. 8 to 5 is a super joyous thing..

i feel very lucky..

TELEVISION ADVERTISEMENTS

we're constantly watching adverts of the lastest LCD tv, monitors, plasma tvs and what not.. about how clear the colour is etc.. and they give u a preview and show u a display of what their tv they're advertising can offer..

your 1st impression would be.. WOW.. nice tv.. cool colours, (not so cool price though). lol.

then if u think about it..

hey dumbass, wait a minute, that beautiful colour i'm seeing, all the sharp and defined graphics and images, its being displayed on my dumb and stupid and old tv..

doesnt it give the signal tt: "hmmm so after all my tv is not bad.."


lol.. bottom line, dun advertise TVs on TVs.... LOL.. unless u're advertising about ur tv sprouting wings or something..


one more thing i tot of earlier..

every noticed that the bigger and more costlier (there're exceptions of course) the item, the less likely it is to get stolen/lost?

its easier to lose a 5 cent coin than a $1 coin
easier to lose a $1 coin than your handphone
easier to lose your hp than your wallet
easier to lose your wallet than ur laptop
easier to lose your laptop than ur car
easier to lose your car than ur house..


its like, have u ever heard anyone say:

oh shit i lost my house.. erm yesterday it was here.. i wonder who stole my hdb flat..
lol.. see what i mean??

or its super difficult to lose a car.. how many people do u know who've said: hey my car got stolen..

in contrast, i know of a few pple who've lost their wallets/hp.. coins etc.. lol..

actually, i feel sorry for the the cleaner auntie working in the medical centre.. she should have her pay pegged to the top 8 cleaners working in the private sector..


like that then will prevent her from leaving ma.. no? some Lee guy said it a while back..

imagine when she compares her pay with her friend cleaning the offices of a office in orchard, den she is unhappy about it cuz she's paid less..

if she decides to leave, then the medical centre rubbish will have no one to clear.. our floors no one to mop, toilet paper no one to refill.. wah.. tragedy leh..

all in all, so as to retain her services in the government's sector (true wat), we should start pegging her pay to the top 8 cleaners working in the private sector...




then again, our allowance shd also be pegged to the top 8 20 years old low-life-forms in the private sector..




of course, the above would occur in an ideal world..
in the real world we reside in, pegging only occurs when u're hanging clothes to dry or when u're refering to the pays of ministers..

but i still have to say tt my mum is really those kind who lives in the past..

yesterday heard from my uncle tt his daughter got 9 points for O's and decided to take the poly route cuz she couldnt enter ACJC..

i'm not going to comment on whether JC IS BETTER than poly or not.. not going to achieve anything..

i'm also not going to comment on the absurdity, folly or ludicrousness of the decision she made.. thats beside the point of this post..


back home, my mum was saying tt she was very "one-kind"... deprive someone of a place in poly..

i actually get quite irritated whenever i hear this.. i mean.. after someone had worked hard and obtained a rather good result of 9 points (wait 9 sounds familiar :P) or below, they deserve the reward of being able to choose what they want..

like it or not, that's life...



anw thing is, a lot of pple dun seem to see that by her going to poly, one person who was initially supposed to go to poly (but yet wants to go to jc) would now have the chance because there's now an extra slot in the JC...


simple logic...

no disrespect to the deceased but..

when someone's already dead..

i did a trial plan yesterday and it works out wonderfully.. woot!

Will be using them after my PES E9L9N8 X 6/12 expires on September 19th..


lol.. today i saw chao zhong on internal shuttle bus.. haha even he knows i downgraded.. temp only la guys... haha...

bad headache today.. truth be told, its the 1st time i've had a headache.. quite bad.. self medicate and popped 2 panadols.. din really take effect very quickly..

asked for and obtained permission to sleep for about 1hr plus.. lucky it got better when i woke up..
