i find it a disservice to myself if i do not put this in bold..
100 days to ORD!!!
passing of time..
if u think time passes slowest during the 10-13 weeks bmt, u're wrong...
time passes the slowest during the build up towards ord..
oh man... its like 100 days more and yet time is crawling.. everyday back at camp, i watch time passing agonisingly slowly...
but yet when i think of the it (ord), i get that ord-gasmic feeling... its almost like heroin flowing thru ur veins, just better (higher feeling)..
its almost as if everytime i think of it i'm intravenously infusing ord fluids into my vein...

picture speaks a thousand words.. lol..
oh ya i was gloating a few posts ago how great it would be tat i'm ord-ing and yet 87 poly batches are just entering bmt (or about to enter).. lol..
i saw one cchb guy in bmt! whahahaha... navy bmt.. sign on regular...
not sure if u pple rmb him (lee sheng hui).... i rmb his ic number very easy to rmb one.. then i happened to come across it in the medical centre last month i think.. seems like he cant recall who i am..
anyway tats not the point.. the point is, i'm waiting to ord, while he's still rec.. super shuang!

oh ya 1 more post...
sorry for the barrage of posts..
wanna get everything off my mind.. haha..
this is about the complusory annuity that guarantees a monthly payout every month..
now everyone will be hoping less people reach 85 (in not so nice terms tat more pple die b4 reaching 85) lol..
so that the pool of money collected will be greater and will less pple sharing it, they'll get a bigger share..
not only tat, they'll pay less premiums for the annuity and thus can withdraw more $$$ at 67..
lol.. bet u din think of as much implications as i did... lol.. :P
if u dun noe wat i'm talking about, for goodness sake please read newspapers or listen to the n'day rally..
to conclude: happy dying b4 85... lol... kidding..
he who has foresight needs no binoculars...
irritated
something so ridiculous happened today tat i'm compelled to blog about it despite my apparent loss in interest for blogging..
as such i shall temporarily interrupt my hiatus to narrate the ridiculousity...
Prolouge
at my workplace, there's this mdm.. (female non-commisioned officer)..
she occasionally shows attitude towards the people-serving-2-years.. there was once during lunch i left my water bottle in her office and i asked her for the keys so tat i could retrieve it, she said no and asked me to wait till lunch is over b4 to get the bottle back..
because according to her, lunchtime she wun work.. passing the keys to me to open the door is equivalent to working.. this clearly reflects the working attitude of certain (if not most) servants of the state..
fine.
Chapter 1 - Retribution
today, during last parade (i.e. before we leave) at about 520pm (bus is at 530pm), she comes to my immediate superior telling him she misplaced her camp pass wanting us to help her find..
and my rather timid ( cuz he's relatively new) superior instructed us to find the pass for her..
erm.. what. the. hell. ?
515 is 放工time leh! BANG4 GANG1!
in my mind i was thinking, since u cant work during lunch, why should i work for u after work?
ridiculous rite?
.dun care proceed to change...
and den i saw the female changing room, the lights was on.. (door closed).. i suspected that woman was changing to catch the 530 bus..
and i was right.
she emerged from the room at about 525 in her civilian attire while some of my colleagues were still busy searching for her pass. HOW ABSURD.
Chapter 2 - 回家
my blood already boiling at the absurdness..
dun care jus went home with some other medics.. took the 530 internal shuttle..
Chapter 3 - 赌懒 (du lan)
the most sickening thing, cuz she's a so called officer, outside camp, she gets priority queue to take the external bus to tanah merah.. and she took the 540 bus!!
damn it! pissed.. she is totally insensitive... ka na sai!
and the rest of us who managed to take the same internal shuttle bus took the 545 bus..
Epilouge
the only silver lining is tat she lost her pass..
and i hope she doesnt find it because its going to cost her $50 to get a replacement..
serves her right.
on a relatively unrelated note,
i still cant comprehend why replacing camp passes costs 50 bucks..
this seems to be the VERY common practise is a lot of camps..
its ridiculous cuz to me its unclear where the funds collected go to..
do they go to the unit making the pass?
or back to taxpayers pockets?
or that small piece of plastic costs $50?
or is the money donated to charity?
or to pay for gold taps?
i can understand that the excessive amt to replace a pass serves as a deterrent to reduce in the instances of pple misplacing their passes, but i think there shd be more transparency w.r.t. how the collected funds are utilised...
i mean, considering how greatly our govt advocates and promotes transparency......
back to hibernation...

i want a car....
i find taking public transport from the east to west in the future a ridiculous waste of time considering how demanding ChE is.. sigh...
should i get a car? just a small one will do..... (first hand of cuz)
sian! but its my hard-saved money...
SIAN! maybe i should consider whether the investment in a car will pay off in terms of results...
oh crap......
back to NS..
a colleague and I have come to a conclusion tat people who can get a place in local uni should be exempted from ns (or at least have an option to be exempted.. cuz u'll never know some people they value going to ocs and crawling in jungle and digging trenches so much tat they might kill themselves if not given the chance to serve.. lol) ..
treat it as an incentive or watever u call it..
opportunity cost man! how much LESS income tax is collected because these potentially high paid lawyers and bankers and chem engineers *ahem* are graduating 2 years later?
with the income tax collected from these exempted people, i think we wun even have to increase the gst? we're also contributing to the nation.. albeit in a less physical and more financial way..
there's going to be a lot of implications.. to list a few:
-jc is going to be tougher cuz people will be super competitive..
-those polytechnic students will make noise cuz its harder to enter uni from poly (as if they haven been making enuf noise - hey in the 1st place they knew b4 entering poly tat its harder to enter uni but yet they still they chose it, so whining about it is just ridiculous imho)
-people of ALL RACES will now begin to value education and as a result there'll be less loitering and card games at void decks.. (money spent by taxpayers on subsidies and foc education will as a result be better invested)..
because if u seriously ask me, majority of us arent doing anything productive in there... seriously... sigh... 2 years of my lives... and what do we get????????
-extra duties on weekends and public holidays
-constant arrows by lazy archers who're paid so much to skive... just cuz they sign on..
ridiculous!

R-O-C-K O-N
This web information should be read in conjunction with the information on engineering undergraduate curriculum and graduation requirements as listed in the engineering handbook and university Bulletin on curriculum.
When can I exercise my S/U option?
Students admitted prior to AY2007/08 are required to exercise the S/U option for a module between Week 6 and the end of the Recess Week. The decision is considered final on the first day of Week 7 of the instructional period of the semester.
Awwwww....
Wait for it.. Wait for it..
Students admitted from AY2007/08 onwards will exercise their S/U option after the results are announced for any module that permits the S/U option. However, these students will not be allowed to exercise the S/U option on modules taken in their graduating semester (which is the semester in which they file for graduation).
A-W-E-S-O-M-E!
dun get too happy.. as of now, i can only confirm it applies for engineering students and fass..
oh and i'm sure those of u in NUS now are saying: "Hey, tats not fair!"
how bout i say :"i must serve 2 years!"
how's tat for fairness?
