However, after completing the changes, i realised i was somehow unable to revert back to my original blog url. so since so many of u have laptops & handphones and they're probably running on li-ion batts.. i'll post what i found out from bo liao surfing..


1) Best way to store ur batt is at 0 degree celcius and at 40% charge level. At this level, ur batt will only retain 98% of its capability after 1 year. But of cuz its so stupid to store ur batt in the fridge. lol.. At 40% charge level and 25 degrees, it'll be 96%. At 25 degrees and full charge, ur batt will lose 80% of its capability per year. So keep ur batt in a cool place, and dun full charge. Avoid using in hot enviroment.


2) Dont fully drain ur batt before u charge. This is bad and reduces the lifespan. Best would be to charge daily. However let it drain fully once every 30 charges to allow the battery to be calibrated. Li-ion batts are not affected by the number of cycles thing.


3) Try not to have ur batt in ur laptop when u're using AC cuz the laptop will heat up after the batt is fully charged thus affecting the lifespan again.

i find it so amazing what boredom can do to people.. i dun think u can find like more than 30 people (middle aged i.e. 30 and above) playing handheld games (psp, gba, ds etc.).. thats what sailing does to people.. its really interesting to notice.. a master sergeant asking me how to catch sea based pokemon.. a 1sg playing ff5.. a ssg playing field commander.. OMG.. haha..

although not to mention boredom drives smokers to more smoking (really a lot of smoking).. maybe its a kind of release.. so they die earlier and in the process have to suffer less boredom in their life.. its bad to have a smoker fren.. its WORSE for a smoker fren to have a smoker fren... here's why.. smoker1: i feel like smoking, let's go smoke.. smoker2: okay..

life is short. i read 2 books while sailing less than 80 hours.. the 2nd book was very very meaningful.. A Bus Could Run You Over.. the last part.. an eulogy.. seriously.. rather touching.. telling pple to treasure their life and do as much things as u want before your bus runs u over (meaning dying.. doesnt mean everyone will literally get run over by a bus).. u know only 10% of people live >3 years after they retire? imagine u slog and work like shit for 50 years.. n u cant even enjoy 3 years? wun u feel shortchanged? so yea.. dun waste anymore precious time.. jus do wat u've always wanted to do.. even if it involves joining the opposition, so be it.. a few weeks ago, i got drenched in the rain... so i bought an umbrella.. foldable kind that i put into my bag.. just in case cuz i walk a lot of unsheltered routes daily and its the monsoon season..


so i was at taka tt day, and we were going to walk to ps.. and it was raining.. ok so it happened tt i wanted to use the umbrella already.. and sh said that it was so gay..


i contemplated a while but decided to go ahead using it anyway..

guess wat? he tried to squeeze into the area sheltered by the umbrella too la.. UNCONCEIVABLE... and he said it was gay? :S now 2 guys sharing one and its not called gay? *bangs head*



ok so watever i have no qualms about sharing the umbrella actually.. i'm not bothered by what others think.. as long as we dun get wet.. true wat.. lol.. so i was holding the umbrella in btw us but here's what he did.. he was also grapping the umbrella can? [which he stopped doing eventually]

so now imagine this.. 2 guys, sharing an umbrella, both holding it, and cuddled together closely.. hahahaha ok the cuddled is an overstatement but ya.. NOT GAY...

and he's complaining about rain drops on his arm..

anw digressing.. i read something meaningful the other day.. about spending money.. whenever u buy something, like maybe a $500 item, u shouldnt think its JUST $500.. u shd look at it as how much that money would be in 40 years time, then decide again if u really want to buy that item..

here's how to calculate.. imagine ur money growing at 10% a year (rather modest but ya..) $500 today would then be = $500 X 1.1^40= a very large number = $22,000 ++ ...

yea so next time b4 u spend money, think twice.. =D

i finally found someone who watches both prison break and grey's anatomy.. the ambulance driver nigel.. ok la granted sh also watches both but its bcuz i intro grey's to him and he kinda intro prison break to me.. lol.. and now i'm addicted to both.. once a week is so not enuf to satisfy my addiction.. heng i got other addictions.. :P



all the specs in medical center are so irritating.. ok la maybe one or 2 are fine.. the rest are selfish bastards.. pardon my language.. now even russel has seen the light, the point i've been trying to get thru to him..


1stly, they dun do weekend duty, because they'll make the roster and there's no way they'll allow it.. and i doubt they'll be doing during christmas eve, christmas or cny.. or new year..

2ndly, they dont do weekend covers (like range, or RT covers) tt fall on weekends..

i mean since u already dun do weekend duties, cant u have some decency to volunteer for these covers if they are indented? come on la they happen once in 2 months? 4 specs to rotate wun hurt rite? one day i'll jus complain to SAF hotline.. bitch..

currently when all the medics in the group attached to the mo cant do the RT, they'll go around calling others to fill in the slot.. seriously la jus do it urself cannot meh? u're not a medic? u're too impt to do covers? give me a break..

so ur weekend is damn impt, ours is worthless?


3rdly, they send all the non-spec medics for all the shitty sailings.. kwek u sail mgb tmr, ah teow next mon got sailing, ______ (fill in the medic name) u ____ (fill in the date) got sailing.. all the crappy and shitty trips (aka sail to south china sea) are given to *drumroll*, ANYONE BUT THEMSELVES...


and then when the good trips come.. e.g. taiwan, korea (south i mean.. the north ones, if any, will no doubt go to the non-specs), japan, moon, mars, pluto, etc etc, they'll book it 3 months in advance...


typical bastard spec will go:"doctor wong (doctor in charge of sailing), i want to go for the ____ (fill in damn good trip name) in ____ (fill in 3 months later date)"

then the a/m bastard will go around boasting about his truimphant reservation of the trip..


and then what are they doing? most (i noe 1 or 2 are not as described, sorry if u're not like the general specs) are jus busy playing their ds and hearing mp3s upstairs.. and they have the cheek to say we slack? bleah!~ all they do is shoot arrows whenever the indent arrives for medics.. as i've illustrated above (refer to 3rdly).. u mean thats what spec 2 course taught them? to shoot arrows? come on ok even a pri sch kid can receive fax and ask pple to go for these and that covers..


specs? u dun deserve respect.. respect isnt attached to the rank, its earned.. so u can jus !#$%#$% off..

i saw the rat again in the medical centre last nite.. no dun worry it din touch me or vice versa.. it was scurraging in the bin looking for food i guess.. ignored it.


this morning, the sickening rat assualted my breakfast!! arh.. the base duty guy placed the 4 boxes on the counter and when we came out to get it, there was a hole in one of the boxes and paper from the box was all around.. apparently done by the rat.. threw it all away.. wat a waste of food.. i din even go and open to see what was for breakfast.. crap.. was so hungry..


while coming home, i saw another rat.. this time in the mouth of a cat.. :O 1st time i saw a cat eating (ok about to eat) a rat.. and there was even another cat who was going to share the food.. gross..

today's a level maths.. 1 year already.. i can still vividly remember writing down all the answers and comparing with frens.. the days.. lol.. few weeks ago my sis wanted to borrow my a lvl maths papers to do.. den i so happened to see the answers i wrote down (i kept all of the papers and ans i wrote down).. of cuz la i curious and went to compare my ans with the one her teacher provided.. SURPRISE SURPRISE.. that was this uncanny resembalance btw the two.. muahahhaa... it seemed as if her teacher had telepathy with me and managed to find out what i wrote.. hmmm... interesting ability.. lol.. no la jus kidding.. there were a few different answers actually.. the keyword i have to re-emphasize is FEW.. lalala...



i went to tuas (lakeside mrt) today.. had to stand on the stupid train till city hall in the morning.. managed to complete my allocated task b4 lunch.. after lunch i kinda jus rotted away.. sort of like bio degradable waste on the verge of decomposition.. yea and i left the place at 4.30 and caught the 4.45 bus.. at 5.30, this 3rd sg who assigned me to go tuas called..

he said he still wanted me to do another task in tuas.. meaning i have to go back tmr... !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! He doesnt even have the dumb decency to assign tasks all at once.. he rather do it once a day, one by one.. totally lacking in leadership skill.. super _____ .. i shall cease to comment on the low intelligence of others.. sorry to leave u in suspense.. and anyway its not just my perception, its how many others perceive him too..

yes i'm ranting, because i have to go back to tuas tmr.. its a hassle..

ok so here's the interesting thing.. we learn in POF that when u add ice to a cup of water and the water lvl is exactly at the brim, after the ice melts, the water will NOT overflow but will remain at the same level.. sounds familiar ya? 1 year ago stuff..


so now the qn is if the ice caps ALL melt, by archimedes' principle, wouldnt the earth's sea level remain the same? so what the hell are these pple complaining about rising water levels for? lol got u there right? :P




not true.. because if all the ice melts, the water level will still rise.. this is because most of the ice on earth are grounded.. i.e. its not floating.. so the theory of mass of volume of water diplaced = mass of ice is no longer valid.. actually this explaination shd be enuf.. if u still dun get it, either u think harder, or u probably will never get it..
